Internship Programs

 

We encourage our students to get a sense of what IS career is all about and equip themselves with practical work experience not available in classroom learning.

 

We will refer relevant internship opportunities to our IS major students through email from time to time.  Students may also visit the SBM Job Bank which has a list of job offers related to business disciplines, some are specific to IS students.  The Career Center of the University also has a pool of job opportunities where you may find suitable placements.  SBM and Career Center may refer relevant internship/job opportunities to us to seek our help in promoting them, particularly to IS students.

So do pay attention to our email on internship/job referrals, or check the SBM Job Bank/Career Center constantly for the latest information on job offers.  If you got an internship offer, you may need to apply for study leave for taking up a study-related internship during your study.

Approved students are granted one-year/one-term leave from the study (usually from June/July to next year's July/August) to join local companies as student interns and work in areas related to the IS discipline.  Through the years, over 270 IS students took up study-related internships with the following companies:
